TRAFFIC ALERT AS OF 2:20 P.M., FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2020
As a result of the serious crash on Route 222, the northbound lanes of Route 222 have been shut at Route 30. PennDOT barricades have been set up and motorists should expect delays while traveling near the Route 222 / Route 30 interchange. The roadway will remain shut for several hours while officers continue to investigate this crash. Updates will be provided as they become available.

Manheim Township Police are currently on the scene of a serious vehicle crash on Route 222 near Creek Road. As a result, Route 222 northbound has been shut and is expected to remain so for several hours. Motorists should avoid this area and plan for alternate routes of travel. Updates will be provided as they become available.
The Doylestown Township Police Department is currently on scene of a one vehicle traffic accident southbound on the 611 Bypass by Route 202 Bypass. One lane is currently closed waiting for a tow to remove the vehicle. Please use caution in the area.
The eastbound Route 30 By-Pass remains closed at Route 100. Please find alternate routes. If on the eastbound Route 30 By-Pass consider exiting at Route 322 or Quarry Road due to the back up at Route 100.
Officers from Platoon C are on 400 Blk. W. Lemon St. for a domestic disturbance. Officers that are trained/certified negotiators are in contact with the party in question and are currently working to successfully and peacefully conclude this incident.
We will provide additional details as necessary. For now we ask that people avoid the area.
A trash truck struck the N.Marshall St. Amtrak bridge.
The truck was southbound from the Manheim Twp. side of the bridge.
Traffic will be detoured for a couple hours until the truck is removed.
Amtrak Police have taken over the scene.
