On 3/2/15 the Lower Swatara Township Police Department charged Brian Scott Rose 42 of the 100 Block of Hanover St in Lower Swatara Twp with Access Device Fraud and Theft by Unlawful Taking. Rose was charged after he stole the victim's bank card and withdrew money at 4 different locations in the area. A warrant of arrest was issued for Brian Scott Rose. On February 1, 2015, at approximately 4:19 PM, the East Pennsboro Township Police were dispatched to an active domestic. The investigation revealed that Jared M. Sweigard punched the victim several times causing injuries to the victim's face, soreness to her ribs, and also choked her. Sweigard was arrested for Simple assault and Harassment and will face a preliminary hearing before District Judge Richard Dougherty.

On February 8, 2015, at approximately 6:21 PM, the East Pennsboro Township Police were dispatched to the area of N. Enola Drive and Shady Lane to check the area for a vehicle with heavy front end with the driver possibly being DUI. Witnesses reported that a sedan was traveling on Valley Road in the area of N. Enola Drive when the front tire blew. The vehicle continued south on N. Enola Drive and the hood flew up and struck the windshield. The vehicle stopped in the 500 block of N. Enola Drive and observed the driver, Rick L. Horn, exit the vehicle and begin walking.

On Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at approximately 1750 hours CPD units responded to Walmart located at 60 Noble Blvd. for a report of retail theft. On scene CPD officers spoke with asset protection, who stated Selena Nicole Thompson was observed leaving the store with a shopping cart full of items she had not purchased. Thompson was arrested and transported to Cumberland County Prison to be processed on misdemeanor 1 retail theft charges. Thompson will be receiving a summons for the charges.

             On February 27, 2015 at 11:15pm,  Officers from Shippensburg Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police and Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, conducted a Sales of Alcohol Without a License investigation at Madison Court Apartment Complex, Building 18, Apt. #3 Shippensburg Twp., Cumberland County.

Incident Type:

Person(s) made entry into a vehicle while it was parked to the rear of 33 West Orange Street in Shippensburg. The person(s) broke the interior door panel off. Nothing was taken. Anyone with information is asked to contact Shippensburg Police.

A bluish/Green Ford Ranger was traveling south on South Prince Street.  The truck was observed traveling at a speed faster than was reasonable for the weather conditions. The Ford Ranger sideswiped to vehicles and continued traveling south and then turning onto East Garfield Street.

The truck has damage to the passenger side and the passenger side taillight is broken.

Complainant reported waking up this morning to finding shoe prints in the snow under their car port and around their vehicles in a suspicious manner.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Shippensburg Police.

On said date, between 1230 hours and 1500 hours, unknown person(s) entered the residence and stole an Xbox One gaming console and an Xbox 360 gaming console. Carlisle Police are investigating a Hit and Run accident that occurred around 2200 hours on 3/2/15 near the intersection of E. North St. and N. East St.  According to police, 2 parked vehicles in the 200 blk of N. East St. were struck.  Based off car parts recovered on scene, police believe a gold or champagne colored Toyota Camry sedan, model year 2001-2002, was the striking vehicle.  The striking vehicle would have sustained moderate damage to the front driver's side.  Police seek information.  Reference complaint:  CAR2015-03-0075.

Carlisle Police recieved a report of a theft in the 100 block of E North St. The victim reported $220 cash taken from his coat while visiting the residence. Police are investigating a suspect in this case. Anyone with additional information should call 243-5252.

  On 2/27/15 at 1813 hours, David Long came to the police dept to report damage done to his vehicle while parked in the Scales Restaurant lot on York Rd. While in the restaurant from 1700 - 1740 hours, someone scratched both side of his vehicle with possibly a key. The value at this time is estimated at $200. Carlisle Police ask if anyone saw this act or has information to contact them at 243-5252

Swatara Township Police is requesting the publics assistance with locating the whereabouts of Joe Lenn Smith. Smith is currently wanted for 2 Robberies which occured this month in the township. Smith is described as a 44 year old white male (5'11, 190 lbs., with blue eyes and brown hair). Any person knowing the location of Smith is asked to contact the Swatara Township Police Department through Dauphin County Communications at 717-558-6900.
