Juan Soriano, 33, of Penbrook was stopped at approximately 4:30 am for a traffic violation.  Soriano was intoxicated and was arrested for DUI.  Soriano was released from the Dauphin County Judicial Center pending a criminal summons.  

Ephrata Police arrested 18yr old Ethan T. Yellak 500 Blk of E. Main St., New Holland, Pa for Retail Theft following an incident at the Wal-Mart in the 800 block of East Main St., Ephrata.   

Charges:

At 4:00 am, Monday, 8/3/15, ELTPD patrol officers responded to a report of gunshots in the 200 blk of Rolling Terrace, Leola.    Arriving officers discovered that an unattended vehicle parked along the roadway had been struck twice with an unknown caliber cartridge.   The victim heard the gunshots and contacted police.    The vehicle was not occupied and no persons were injured as a result of the incident.  Initial investigation indicates that the vehicle was targeted and the incident was not a random act.

Case Status:

At 11:20 pm, Sunday, 8/2/15, two male juveniles were observed damaging a wooden statue of a bear in Greenfield Industrial Park.   The actors removed sections of the statue and and appear to have been using tools.  The actors fled on foot in the direction of the Greenfield ponds when they became aware that they had been seen.   Damage loss has not been determined.

Reported to ELTPD on 8/1/15, that sometime between 2:00 pm and 10:00 pm a blue and white striped purse containing credit cards and victim's identification was stolen from an unlocked vehicle, while attending a family picnic in the 100 blk of Strasburg Pike.

On July 29 , 2015 the Pennsylvania State Police, Carlisle Station served an arrest warrant for Shippensburg Police Department on a Robert HAUBERT as a result of assisting  Daniel RUSSELL with stealing a motorcycle and an all terrain vehicle from rental storage unit located at Sherman and Martin Avenues, Shippensburg Borough.  The items were later recovered from HAUBERT's property.  HAUBERT was taken to Cumberland County Booking and arraigned before MDJ Paul FEGLEY.  Bail was set at $15,000, Robert was later released as bail was posted.

On July 30, 2015 Christy RUSSELL was arraigned on additional charges of burglary and related crimes as a result of breaking into rental storage units at Sherman and Martin Avenues, Shippensburg Borough.  Christy was arraigned before MDJ H. Anthony ADAMS Office and bail set at $10,000.  Christy remains incarcerated on the previous charges filed by Shippensburg Police Department for breaking into a storage unit in Shippensburg Borough, Franklin County.

Reported to ELTPD on 8/1/15, that a women's hot pink Coach wristlet was stolen from an unlocked Bridal suite sometime between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm.   The suite was reported have been unlocked at the time.   Wristlet contained cash and the victim's Debit card.   

Reported to ELTPD on 8/1/15, that sometime overnight PA registration plate #JSJ-2367 discovered stolen from a vehicle parked at Sauder Eggs, 1824 William Penn Way. 

A 2003 Hyundai sedan driven by Eugene Panov, 22 of Tom Ave. Ephrata, struck a tree after Panov reportedly dosed off while driving westbound on East Main St.(Rt 322) in Ephrata Township. The crash caused the road to be shut down in both directions for approximately 30 minutes. Also assisting with the incident were Pioneer Fire Dept. and Ephrata Ambulance. Panov was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

On Friday, 7/31/15, two separate incidents of retail theft occurred at the Sunglass Hut in the Tanger Outlet complex totaling $1,190 in property loss.   At 2:30 pm a Black male, 20-30 years of age, wearing a gray baseball hat, white T-shirt and blue shorts, concealed and walked out of the store with three (3) pair of sunglasses, including a pair of Versace sunglasses valued at $260.

Today, July 1st, at about 9:47 AM, a male entered the Belco Federal Credit Union, 5785 Allentown Blvd. and demanded money at gunpoint.  He fled west out the front doors after a teller handed him a quantity of cash.  A Harrisburg PD K-9 assisted at the scene.  The suspect is described as a Black/Male, 25-30 years of age, athletic build with a thin face and no facial hair except some stubble.  It is believed that he had a single gold tooth on the top.

At 5:10 pm, Saturday, 7/25/15, an unknown White male, pictured in the attached surveillance photos, loaded a Panasonic Inverter 1.6 cubic feet stainless steel microwave oven valued at $139.00, in a shopping cart, then walked out with the cart without paying for the item.   The suspect is described as White male, 25-35 years of age, 5-10 in height, husky build, with short hair and stubble facial hair.  The suspect was picked up by another White male driving a gold early 2000's Honda Accord sedan.
